Minestrone is a traditional dish of Istrian cuisine
Homemade minestrone that is stored in the tavern Jadruhi
Very often on the menu Istrian dishes there are various bean. As in every minestrone comes and meat and vegetables, one can speak of the high content of valuable nutrients.
Ingredients:
500 g of dried pinto beans
500 g of corn
bone of ham
2 onions finely najeckane
3-4 carrots chopped into cubes
3-4 potatoes diced
2-3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
salt
pepper
olive oil
The time required to prepare and cook 4 hours
Advice:
If you want a thick minestrone, take more potatoes and mash cooked it and return to the minestrone. Cook a little more all together.
Preparation:
1. The day before soak the beans in water.
2. On the olive oil to fry the onions, carrots and garlic and add the peas and water. Season with salt and pepper.
3. In water, add a bone of ham and potatoes and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let it gently simmer until beans are tender.
4. Before the end is added to the corn and cook over low heat for half an hour.
Tip: If you want thicker minestrone, take more potatoes and mash cooked it and return to the minestrone. Cook a little more all together.
